Saplings Class Teacher is Miss Martin, supported by Miss Cooper.
Physical Education (PE)
PE lessons take place every Friday. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed in their PE kit on this day.
Please remember that all clothing items must be clearly named.
The children in Saplings Class will be accessing the Reception outdoor area daily. With colder weather upon us, please make sure your child arrives at school wearing appropriate outdoor clothing.
Some areas of the outdoor space can become muddy, so children will need to wear wellies when exploring these spaces. If you have not already done so, please provide your child with a named pair of wellington boots to keep in school.
Reading
You will receive a reading record to help track your child’s reading and phonics practice at home.
In Saplings Class, children are learning a new sound each day. Your child will bring home a sticker - simply scan the QR code to access a short online video that supports sound practice at home.
Please also keep an eye out for an email containing your child’s login details for Reading Buddy. This online platform provides a wide range of age‑appropriate books for you to enjoy reading together at home.
Tapestry
To stay up to date with your child’s learning, please ensure you are signed up to Tapestry. This platform allows you to view photos and videos of your child’s experiences at school.
