newton road 1904012 0072Our children need to make the most of their time at Newton Road School. In order to do this we make every effort to make sure your child is as settled and happy as possible and that they attend school every day. We know that during their primary school years every day counts.

At Newton Road School we are lucky to have Mrs Suzanne Robinson, who is our lead DSL and lead for pastoral care. Mrs Robinson works with teachers and parents to make sure your child is in school and learning as well as possible by identifying any issues or areas of concern or support. Mrs Nichola Morgan, who is our family and pastoral support officer works along side Mrs Robinson.

Their role brings families, outside agencies and the school together. The agencies we work with include:

  • School Nurses/Health Visitors
  • Education Inclusion Team
  • Social Care
  • Housing Services
  • Youth and Community Police
  • Children’s Centre
  • CAMHS
  • Citizens Advice Bureau
  • Women’s Support Services
  • Counselling Services

Suzanne and Nichola are easily accessible in school and are both here to help you with any issues which may be affecting your child’s education. If you need any help or advice please contact the school office on 01933 353761.

Suzanne will make an appointment to see you in school, arrange to make a home visit or advise you when you may be able to see her.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s attendance please contact Mrs Holmes, our office administrator and lead for attendance on 01933 353761, or see our Attendance Policy, which can be found here.
